2009 Fall class

2009 spring class

6 kids completed the 10 week course. They learned alot about sailing and enjoyed the class. They also were able to sail on a 41' boat on the windward side.

2009 spring class

We had a good spring class. 6 teenagers completed the course. We give photobooks to show their sailing abilities. They also got to sail on the 41 boat on the windward side.

We have 6 new kids in the spring class and 4 remaining kids. The kids are learning quickly about sailing and the weather. We have sailing every saturday except one due weather problems. They are learning parts of the boat, how to work with other person on a boat and how weather affect the ocean/wind and surf. We have a good group of adult volunteers who are very dedicated to the Sea Scouts Program

The Waianae Youth Sailing program will start its' spring class on Feb 21. The class will be 10 sessions. The sailing class will be held at Pokai Bay and run from 2pm to 6pm every saturday. The class is open to youth age 14-19. The cost is $30($10 for registration and $20 suggested donation for materials and uniforms)
